GAIM - Buddy Icons Hidden

I have inadvertantly hidden a few of my IM contact's buddy icons by right clicking on their buddy icon and selecting 'Hide Buddy Icon". Now I want to display their icon again. How do I unhide them?

Go to the preferences menu and the buddy list section and you should find a checkbox for that.

That check box is enabled. I have buddy icons display for some but not others who I know have one.

Close Gaim and have a peek in ~/.gaim/blist.xml I guess is the best one to start with. Or prefs.xml I guess.

Actually if you hide an icon in the conversation window then it will be shown again the next time you open the conversation window to talk to that person again. Maybe they just disabled their buddy icons.

It is how my Gaim acts.
