competition made them freak out if they waited tell longhorn people will get weaned from microsoft programs currently I use firefox and have only 3 problems

1- the history is not classified by site which is easy to correct I wonder why they didn't make it
2- a minor bug that make the download manager trunkate the file name if it contain _
3- no specific temporary internet files where I can search directly the files I browsed

I'm finding it quite amusing that first it's so tightly bound to the system that it takes a "system update" to "fix" anything with it, then it's no more updates until Longhorn, then it's "we're not worried about Firefox", and now it's an unbundled installation.

Even if I ran Windows, I probably wouldn't touch it with a 10' pole.

Microsoft products? Thanks, but there isn't enough room here to list all of the reasons to avoid M$ products.

I know IE6 to be terrible at rendering HTML4.01 with any form of CSS. Firefox, Konqueror, Safari, and possibly Opera can perfectly handle XHTML1.1 from 1999, with CSS2.1. IE can transform XML with XSLT, but its CSS support is seriously lacking.

Another thing that makes IE unappealing is that it's widely used. People that want to at least seem more intelligent will switch to another one. Since IE is used most, most of the spyware and malware is targeted to it, which keeps other browsers safe, for now.

Also, IE will never be able to corner the non-Windows market, since they don't support any other platform since at least 5.0.

ALLRIGHT!!!!!!! Man i've been waiting for EVER for a real web browser to get rid of this firefox crap that came bundled with my free os. I'm soooo sick of my cookies clearing automatically and having to relog in to all my favorite passport sites. And pop-up blocker?? Please! Those advertisements are the way Microsoft's partners present their awesome (and safe, proprietary) wares to us. I can't wait to get back into high gear with a default home page that goes directly to ms's search page. How else am i going to get the results that my overlord and masters steve ballmer and bill gates want me to see??

Hurray for more security holes, IE has stopped responding errors, and who wants a browser with the same old "Home Page" when you can have it change every time you surf the web to awesome pron sites!
