unable to install fedora 19 on my msi ge60(uefi)
i want to install fedora 19 on my ge60, which was preinstalled windows 8 x64.
so i make a live usb by "unetbootin" and boot from it.
i've tried to google it, but i always got 2 possible error messages:
1. if i boot in "UEFI mode" with secure boot, i will get "binary is verified by the vendor certificate".
2. if i boot in "UEFI mode" without secure boot or "UEFI mode with CSM", i will get "secure boot not enabled".
i know if i install it in "legacy mode", i will lost windows 8 and recovery function, so i really don't want to do that.
Thanks
(sorry my English is not very good )

Use the fedora USB live creator and try again

Re: unable to install fedora 19 on my msi ge60(uefi)
Greetings Kevin,
After a great deal of trial and error, I was able to install F19 on my MSI GE60-2OE laptop.
I installed Windows 8 first (clean install, not using the preloaded installation).
The BIOS settings that finally worked:
Boot ->
Fast Boot [Disabled]
Boot Mode select [UEFI with CSM]
Security ->
Secure Boot Control [Enabled]
Secure Boot Mode [Standard]
I'm not sure which (if any) UEFI or Windows 8 features are disabled by those settings,
but it's the only combination that allowed me to dual boot Windows 8 and Fedora 19.
