What's the matter, Dan?
Look on the bright side.. At least they can't name F19 something really stupid, like Beefy Miracle.. It's already been used. Anything else is an improvement over that one.

You would not believe how many times I've started a list to post here, then thought better of it and hit the back button. <.. ..>
Sooooo, I think I'm gonna sit this one out. The temptation is so strong, and the off-the-wall possibilities are just too ... possible. <.. ..>

Are you sure?
You obliviously haven't seen this one jet: Gabelstaplerfahrer
edit: Okay some more info about the name and a link to a classic "Gabelstaplerfahrer" video (a bit long but the end is worth it):

A German word for Forklift driver. Spherical Cow is a long and awkward name, and so is Gabelstaplerfahrer.

I have a very bad feeling that "Parabolic potassium" might win the vote. Hopefully not!

Beg pardon?
1. Ushi-Oni
2. Cubical Bull
3. Rhino-masked Platypus
4. Martian Blueberries
5. Flat Hippo
6. Hypercubic GNU
7. Oval Wildebeest
8. Chinchilla Raisin
I actually quite like the sound of Hypercubic GNU

The current list of submitted names is scarring me. I was really hoping for something a little more... "serious" this time 'round.

I was too. Stupid cheesy names aren't really the image I think Fedora wants to be projecting
But then again, the past 2 releases have had stupid cheesy names, so I could be wrong.

Stupid names and serious distros, thats Linus policy.
Thats just a way to offend those that has not yet grasped the point of software freedom.
Come on its just a name. Who really cares? I name myself the fedora versions just by numbers. Who remembers what Cow its named after.

Yes, I guess I did
There were several names that weren't too cheesy, though. Versions 6, 7 & 8 veered of into cheese land, but most of the others were fairly serious names.
