Fedora 17 Installation - Help wanted please !

Hi,

I am trying to install Fedora 17 on my notebook and facing issues with it, Any suggestions/pointers to it would be of great help.

My Notebook Configuration:
Processor: Intel Core i5 3210 (64-bit processor)
Graphics Card: Radeon (TM) HD 7670 M (2 GB)

Issue:
I am trying to install Fedora 17 from USB installer, which I created using the F17 x86_64 iso image. After powering on the system, I can see the screen similar to this (ofcourse the one for F17 )


But, after selecting the option -> start Fedora 17, a white screen appears for about 1-2 secs and then the screen goes blank and nothing appears on the screen. I am not able to proceed further. Kindly advice !!

Choose the "Troubleshooting" option, then "Start Fedora 17 in basic graphics mode".

Thanks for your response! Yes, If i select that option i am able to start fedora 17, but i was more interested to know, what could be the issue at the first place and how to get a fix for that ?
And also what is the difference in "basic graphics mode" ??

Your graphics adapter isn't compatible with the driver Fedora tries to use. You can install a different driver once you have installed Fedora.

It uses a plain dumb SVGA driver without any acceleration features.

Thanks! I will install in basic graphics mode first and then try to install the compatible driver.
