module loading preference order with udev

As in FC17 the module handling is done with udev, ???
How do you set the order the modules are loaded, especially the sound modules.
Will a file in /etc/modprobe.d/ still function to load the ALSA modules in an order to control the
sound card hw position. ?

jackdmp will accept hw:<card name>, but apps which don't use Jack give problems as I have
4 audio devices on the main computer.
Prior to FC17 I could set the sound module order from /etc/modprobe.d/

Thanks
Richard
