I'm currently using Libre Office and after doing web implementation for a while I'm coming up against a problem. With HTML/CSS I simply write the code and boom, it applies, consistently everywhere where the tags are applied. Not so with Libre Office apparently.
I create my text and then I want to display a 'Hint box' off to one side. I'd imagine that the text wraps around it and it looks all neat and colourful with borders. Fairly simple right? Now...what about if I want to format the text inside? This is where I am coming up against problems. When I go into the text box I can't use "Styles and Formatting (F11)" because it's greyed out. Nor can I copy and paste the text because it strips the formatting.
I've tried using tables to achieve the desired result but it either looks choppy or doesn't achieve the effect at all, both of which are highly undesirable. I intend to create PDF files and I'm quite frankly debating on obtaining a HTML to PDF converter at this rate. >_>. Does anyone have any suggestions either a) how to get round the problem or b) a better software alternative?
I need the formatting in the text box and I need the text to wrap around it and I want to be able to change the formatting at the click of a button...CSS...it has spoiled me >.<
