Saving sessions of LibreOffice 3 writer?

Can users of Gnome, LXDE or any other window managers save sessions of LibreOffice 3 writer ? - meaning can they arrange it so when the log-out and log back in, LibreOffice is automatically be opened on documents they were editing? I'd like to hear about people's experiences with this.

I cannot save LibreOffice sessions with XFCE. I reported this as a possible bug to the XFCE bugzilla, but the bug was closed with the remark that it's probably a defect in LibreOffice. https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8981 Is it?
