Re: fdora server download from ??????

Fedora is not recommended for use as a server. It's life cycle is much too short and with 'cutting edge' software, breakage is more likely than in other distros. You really should consider the 'parent' distro, Red Hat or, if funds are slim, either CentOS or Scientific Linux, no-cost, no-support versions of Red Hat.

Re: fdora server download from ??????

If you are just using Fedora for a test server for learning purposes, then your answer is:

There is no difference between a desktop and a server - only the applications chosen by default to install.

Re: fedora server download from ?

Every one says Fedora has a long list of why it shouldn't be used in a server.
But there are so many people out there using fedora as a server.

Re: fedora server download from ?

You could also try Debian or Ubuntu. Though some may in fact use Fedora for a "home server" like Dan pointed out, it is not reccomended for server use. Yep, you *could* use it, just like I *could* use my Vette as a tow vehicle....but I'll pass
