Is there music player that shows the song's lyrics while it being played?

Hello there

I'm looking for Music player or banshee \ rhythmbox addons that shows current song's lyrics (Line by Line)

Do you know about some player?

I don't think it is possible to do.

The audio data does not contain anything like tags to identify/connect to lines of text.

Works because someone created a database of tags. According to their web page they have over a million songs done.

Amarok has a script to display lyrics (fetched from lyricwiki.org) -- but not line-by-line.

I suspect a line-by-line display would require a pair tag (song, time offset) to work. At least thats how I would approach the task.

Very slow to create tags. I don't know how good voice decoding is - especially with the noise background of music, and the distorted words used... So I suspect they had to have a lot of people listen to songs and tag each one. Then there would be editing to correct mistakes.

Amarok shows the lyrics and has an option to scroll them, not perfect but it works.

Clementine also shows the lyrics.

Is there option to integrate "Alsong" (on wine) with music hot-keys?
