Unhappy KDE Akonadi start-up fails

Hi all,

I recently did a bare-metal Fedora 17 install using my existing Fedora 15 /home partition. I also moved from 32 to 64 bit systems. With the exception of Akonadi failing to load/start, it went well.

I've solved a couple of the reported errors and am now trying to address the following error message: "The Akonadi server process is not registered at D-Bus which typically means it was not started or encountered a fatal error during startup."

I've reinstalled it and it still does not start. Search results have not helped. Using the same /home directory, it runs fine using F15 32bit. I've been using the calendaring functions for years so this is a major problem for me.

Anybody have a suggestion?

Thanks.
