Unhappy Lenovo B575 live cd wireless problem

Hello, I have a Lenovo B575 laptop with a strange problem with the wireless. When I boot to a Fedora live cd the wireless works just fine. However after the install the wireless card is disabled. Airplane mode is turned on and can't be switched off. I've verified that the card is enabled in the BIOS.

I've done some research about adding an entry to the modprobe.d in this thread. However that does not solve my problem. I think I remember reading somewhere where there were two different chipsets of wi-fi card shipped with the B575.

I'm very new to Linux but I have no idea what to do to get Fedora to see the card. If its any help, Ubuntu sees the card without issue.
