Hi, I've looked throuigh previous threads and not found anything to help.
I have tigervnc-server running, port 59000 & 5901 tcp & udp open. but
unable to get vncviewer to function on the remote machine.
I can run vncviewer localhost:1 and that works, but on the remote machine
Code:
[richard@g8jvm ~]$ vncviewer 192.168.101.2:1
TigerVNC Viewer for X version 1.1.0 - built Mar 27 2012 12:59:01
Copyright (C) 1999-2011 TigerVNC Team and many others (see README.txt)
See http://www.tigervnc.org for information on TigerVNC.
vncviewer: unable to open display ""
If I connect with ssh and try vncviewer localhost:1
I get exacly the same message.
runing FC17 x86_64 on both remote and local machines
Is this something to do with gnome3 shell , I thought it would drop back in to fallback mode when used on a vnc ?
Or is it liable to be something else ??
Thanks
