Wi-Fi card not detected

I'm having trouble enabling the wireless adapter on my Acer after installing Fedora.

Here's my card's info:

Code:
Broadcom Corporation Netlink BCM57785 Gigabit Ethernet PCIe (rev 10)
I'm using Fedora 17.

Any insight on how to solve this or where to find more information is truly appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Wi-Fi card not detected

you will need to enable rpmfusion repo

http://rpmfusion.org/Configuration

then install the drivers

Code:
yum install kmod-wl

Re: Wi-Fi card not detected

Hello Tidey

The card you quote is a wired ethernet device, not wireless:

The kmod-wl solution may work if you have a broadcom wireless device, but it doesn't work with all of those.

You might try posting back the full results of:

Code:
lspci
to see if we can find what the card actually is. What we are looking for is some other ethernet/network device. If one doesn't turn up in that listing, try:

Code:
lsusb
Although that's for USB devices, there have been instances where those have been fixed directly to the motherboard.

Re: Wi-Fi card not detected

That explains why I was finding conflicting information. I was searching for the wrong thing.

Code:
Network Controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM43227 802.11b/g/n
Once more, thank you for helping me work this out

oh yeah... I didn't saw that... I guess I assume that you had a broadcom wireless adapter.
