I'm tired of network-manager. I'd like to connect via wi-fi without it. I don't want wicd either.
The issue is I was ddos'd for a while until wireless in network-manager crashed. When I opened the client to reactivate wifi, the wireless icon was gone, checking Settings and it's missing in there also.
Unable to get it working I rebooted the system. My ping yahoo.com's rtt went from 30-40 to now being 200-300, am I being middled?

It seems I found an answer to my question:
http://fedorasolved.org/Members/khay...etwork_manager
Now if I could only figure out what got fuzzed.
One of the issues is youtube videos won't load properly, or just stop playing part way through even though I have some network function now.
Could there be some type of browser infection that attacks the networking, like pivot from the browser into the rest of the system?

Preceding the above I was getting these somewhat frequently:
Code:
dbus[849]: [system] Rejected send message, 2 matched rules; type="method_return", sender=":1.1" (uid=0 pid=809 comm=
"/usr/lib/systemd/systemd-logind ") interface="(unset)" member="(unset)" error name="(unset)" requested_reply="0" destination=":1.34" (uid=1
000 pid=1099 comm="gnome-session ")
Searching for the above message info showed some references to network-manager so I'm assuming it's related to the first code snippet.
Previous to all of this I had been trying to run a cdrom with some .tgz files from my old system, Fedora kept asking me if I wanted to autorun the disk, log message says the media was modified. I was unable to open the disk with the filemanager which is odd as it's just data, files I wanted to check over.
