Compling clutter-gst and gstreamer-plugins-base

Hi folks, i have run into a compiling error when building clutter-gst and gstreamer-plugins-base in fedora 14.

/usr/share/gir-1.0/Gst-0.10.gir: Incompatible version 1.1 (supported: 1.2)
make[4]: *** [ClutterGst-1.0.gir] Error 1

/usr/share/gir-1.0/Gst-0.10.gir: Incompatible version 1.1 (supported: 1.2)
make[4]: *** [GstTag-0.10.gir] Error 1

What's going on here?

You need a newer version of gobject-introspection.

i have gstreamer installed

[root@amd-fedora14 SPECS]# rpm -q gstreamer

gstreamer-0.10.36-1.fc14.i686

[root@amd-fedora14 SPECS]# rpm -q gobject-introspection
gobject-introspection-1.32.1-2.fc14.i686



I tried both updated (fedora 17, fuduntu) versions but still receiving the same error:

/home/jonathon/local_repo/gobject-introspection/gobject-introspection-1.32.1-1.fc14.i686.rpm
/home/jonathon/local_repo/gobject-introspection/gobject-introspection-1.32.1-2.fc14.i686.rpm
/home/jonathon/local_repo/gobject-introspection/gobject-introspection-devel-1.32.1-1.fc14.i686.rpm
/home/jonathon/local_repo/gobject-introspection/gobject-introspection-devel-1.32.1-2.fc14.i686.rpm

to the OP: its not just about installing a new gobject-introspection, thats part of it - its about rebuilding the package that depends on that specified gir file. if you go with a newer gobject-introspection version which specifies a new gir revision, then you need to rebuild all that packages that generate gir files
