Fedora 17 mbr problem

I have an HP Pavillion p6-2120 with AMD quad4 and WIN7. Before install, I disabled win boot manager and activated legacy boot in the bios. Fedora installed (used KDE live disk) successfully indicating that it had written the boot loader to the mbr. On reboot, the computer would not boot saying No disk, no boot menu and cannot boot win. I used a CD boot and was able to access fedora ok. Using gparted all of the partitions including win are still there. Ran grunb2-install and still same problem. Set the win partition to active, nada.

So, how do I fix the mbr?

Re: Fedora 17 mbr problem

Can you quote the exact output of your grub2-install invocation? And also include a copy of your partitioning (e.g. using "fdisk -l …" or "parted … print").
