amarok, parole, vlc ... I've gained new respect for vlc this week but still amarok calls despite the KDE dependencies.

Re: Now Playing

Clementine? QT4 app, based on the old version of Amarok. Much nicer interface than the current version IMO

Amarok is definitely my favourite due to the very useful Ampache plugin because all my auto-tuned insipid bleating songs are on my server . However I like Bangarang as well due to how well it integrates with Nepomuk.

Zoo York - Paul Oakenfold

has anyone used decibel-audio-player here? It is very light and quite nice. That is my standard for listening to music. VLC/mplayer for videos.

Re: Now Playing

I like to keep an open mind when it comes to music, here is a nice bit of Techno:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qycA...eature=related

This will put your audio system to the test all 11 mins and 34 seconds of it , gets good at about 2.24 when the vocals kick-in.
