Talking We are more than 1%

I've found in the web an interesting poll
http://www.dudalibre.com/gnulinuxcounter?lang=en
With this initiative, we intend to refute the statistics of certain press organizations that ensure that the use of GNU/Linux does not exceed 1% and has not advanced in recent years at the desktop.

Also...by the moment Fedora has just 4881 users, lets show them that we are much more than that!!

If they made a version of Linux without passwords, ownership, and permissions it might help a lot.

Only 4881 users. How do they know that? Nobody asked me.

What is your opinion about this? The whole process should be based on something else, not on private e-mail id.

Yeah, I understand that everybody can create a temporary e-mail address on any e-mail server, even hundreds of them and register. Who wants to cheat?

Dali.
Get a disposable e-mail address. Yahoo is worthless. Use that. Hotmail is worthless too. Get one there. I have a Yahoo e-mail address that I use just for these types of things.

By the way, I voted Fedora of course.

Yes, the linux counter has been running for quite a long time. I have been there for a fair amount of time as well: https://linuxcounter.net/user/263680.html

To the mods:
I suggest that this thread be made not sticky, as the website in the first post is gone.
