[Solved] Vertical Lines!

Uh, hello, everyone, I'm Marcel; I think this is my first thread here so just lemme introduce myself before getting onto the topic. I'm from New Jersey and I like Pink Floyd! That's basically it. Oh, also, I liked Ted, that movie-film. Anyways, I recently installed Fedora 17 on my 2010 Macbook Air. I had problems installing it, but once I installed the boot loader to /dev/sda it seemed to work okay. I am running Mac OS X Lion, Fedora Linux 17, and Windows 7 on this computer. Okay, going on, when I inserted the disc using an external drive it seemed to work fine except for these weird purple-ish blinking lights on the right part of the screen. The problem still persisted when I booted up into the installed Fedora. It's not a big deal, but could I at least get an explanation of what might be causing this?

Thanks,
Marcel Jagielko

Wait, sorry, uhhh, the lines disappeared after I installed some drivers.
