I must apologize for my ignorance. Instead of looking at the main branch, I had bookmarked one of the forks so every time I went to check progress I was checking the wrong project :O

I just used this setup to put cinnamon on my F17 install, but for some reason "add to desktop" does not work. Any clues on this?

Do you have the file manager handling the desktop? Gnome 3 by default doesn't have anything other than a background.
