How to install sftp server in Fedora 17

I can't find a package for it (I tried using yum info sftpd / sftp, but it finds nothing).

sftp uses sshd as the server
Code:
yum install openssh-server

Thanks very much (it turns out it is already installed - I shall have to find out out to configure and start it, as there is no gnome application I can see for doing it).

It may already be running. You can check by running sftp 127.0.0.1 and see if it connects. If it isn't then just enable the sshd service then start it
Code:
systemctl enable sshd.service
systemctl start sshd.service
