Red face How to I remove an app that isn't in the distro

I installed, (at least I thought I did) xnview. It is now in my installed apps but I have tried to remove it every way I can think of. I tried yum remove, and lots of other commands and it comes up with a message that it isn't installed. I want to remove it because I downloaded the wrong one.
Can anyone please help me. I didn't install it through yum or add and remove. I just clicked xnview.exe and now I can't get rid of it.

Sounds like you got the Windows version. Do you have Wine installed?

Well, I'm no expert here, but I suspect if it went in with wine, it needs to be pulled out with the Wine Software Uninstaller/remover?
