How one go about packaging software, to be compile on fedora via rpm?
Is their any guidelines and if one was to package such software? Where would they submit for approval via fedora repositories?
Thank you that was what I was looking for. To develope viable software for a operating system you must be able to package it correctly under the guidelines of the operating system maintainers. I have been using ubuntu, linux mint, opensuse, among many others for over two years now. And I want to contribute back. Whether I'll be succesful or not is yet to be seen. I made an attempt to build arch linux and failed miserably and want to get to the point where I am so good with I can build such an os. for that was a difficult task and made several attempts each ended failure. I got xfce4 window manager running but failed in customising it to where it had panels or session manager correctly installed like fedora or ubuntu. Anyways thank you again.
