Re: Best. Sunset(s). Ever.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. But did you get any decent pictures, man? <.. ..>
Although ... we will cut you a little slack on account that I know for a fact that it's damn hard to get a decent photo whilst shooting from inside a Level (L)A Hazmat suit. <.. ..>
Now, this one ... is GIMPed.

Wow... those photos are stunning
Too bad we don't get those kind of views up here in Auckland

I don't own photoshop And no, I didn't use GIMP either. None of these photos are edited at all

Re: Best. Sunset(s). Ever.
Can't remember the last sunset I saw here. Usually when I look out my window, one moment it's light, the next it's dark

Re: Best. Sunset(s). Ever.
I see a 50/50 chance of it being gimped. Seen that effect many times out diving but I can't profess to have measured for trueness or parallel though.
I dug around and these are the only two I have with a similar effect. I bet I have one similar from camping over on the islands.., if I can find them ie., Cloud height, humidity, and time of year (sun's position) are all factors is my bet.
Late Edit: Crap, looks different when reduced and compressed. Majors are still there though.

Re: Best. Sunset(s). Ever.
Such effects are common.
Methinks the difference here being James inclination to do so, readiness and skills with a camera, and living in a location that lends itself beautifully to such opportunities.
Like the above example, I tend to shoot more sunrises than sunsets.
