Greetings,
I'm trying to install a fresh Fedora 17 on an almost clean computer (i.e. with no other operating system)
I setup the partition table to mount my old home directory. I also setup the root, swap, and tmp partitions
Everything works fine until I reach the bootloader stage. Here a message shows up saying that the bootloader failed to install and the new os might not boot (and indeed it does not).
I'm installing from a flash disk that was prepared from an md5-checked iso file. I used the flash disk on other computers and it was fine.
I saw similar problem on this and other forums when installing/upgrading Fedora along side another system, but I'm doing a fresh installation. So I don't see any reason for failure.
Any help is appreciated.
