Preupgrade - new folders in home folder?

I just used preupgrade to upgrade fedora 16 to 17 and it looks like everything went well, but now in my home folder there's 16 folders with names like "preupgrade" "preupgrade-google" "preupgrade-google-chrome" etc. It looks like they're all empty. What is this? I can't just delete them because they're locked, so I'm wondering if there is something else I need to do? I thought I did everything I needed to do to upgrade my system. I think everything else looks normal.

I've tried to google an answer to this but I haven't found anyone else talking about it. It's not a real problem but it just bothers me alot.

If this is your only problem then you should consider yourself lucky ;-)

Deleting some empty folders shouldn't be so difficult. Try
Code:
du -c -m preupgrade*

sudo rm -i preupgrade*

Re: Preupgrade - new folders in home folder?

Thanks but when I type
Code:
sudo rm -i preupgrade*
it said something like "preupgrade is a directory. cannot delete directory" or something along those lines. I just opened nautilus as root and delted the folders. I was just afraid to delete them in the first place because I didn't know why they were there and thought they might be important for something.

I don't know neither ;-)

Sorry, it should read rmdir instead of rm for empty directories.
