No wired network (Dell D600)

Problem: No Ethernet
Platform: Dell Lattitude D600 (see output below)
OS: Fedora 17

Symptoms:
Windows XP Ethernet worked.
Fedora 17 i386 network install via the wireless network.
Obviously the wireless card was recognized and installed during the CD boot but I have never been able to get Ethernet to work.
During install eth0 is renamed to em1 (not sure what this is about)

Here is what I have done:
I have tested my Ethernet cable as good, and yes the link lights are flashing
I have ensured bios has Ethernet enabled... (It was working before the Linux Install).
I do not see Ethernet in either lspci or lsusb.
In all the thrashing about, I may have screwed up my drivers...
If someone would please point me in the right direction, I would be appreciative.

Thanks
