How do I install Fedora 17 as a dual boot with a different Linux distro?

Is this staright forward? I know if will need it's own partition, but will the installer handle this or will I have to do a bunch of stuff manually? I have Mint Linux installed and like it alot, but I want to install Fedora also.

It is usually very straightforward depending on your requirements. From your post, I am assuming that you would like to keep Mint as your main distribution and try Fedora. So, I would recommend installing Fedora grub in its own boot (or /) partition (depending on your configuration). You will get an option to do this during installation.

Hope this helps. Cheers.

You should have a separate partition for each distro IMO. When you get to the point where the installation wants to install GRUB, choose to install to / of the new installation partition rather than to the default MBR. This is how I do it. There are other ways though.
