Synchronizing with Android

Hi,

I am running F16-kde (I'll upgrade to F17 in a few months I guess). I have an iPhone right now but I'm thinking of buying an Android. I'd like to know if anyone here has successfully managed to sync contacts and calendars without using a cloud stuff like Google, just a regular cable connexion.

Suggestions/ideas are welcome =)

Thanks,

Edouard

I'm not sure Android will allow any access to the locally stored stuff through USB!
I can see there's some "akonadi-google" stuff inthe repos, so maybe you can think about doing it that way (provided it works, of course).
