what is remi repo?

I was browsing around the internet trying to find a good way to make firefox update itself. Anyways, I stumbled upon the following post from this forum. The third response in the thread talks about updating firefox with something called remi repo. What is remi repo?

Remi's repos will sometimes have newer versions of packages than are available from the standard Fedora repos.

Whenever using 3rd party repos, note that you might run into conflicts with different package versions.

Note: firefox will be automagically updated with the rest of the system unless it's EOL ;-)
