yum downloads very slow!!!

i use yum-fast-downloader plugin
it usese aria2 for downloading rpm pkgs but not for downloading delta rpm's
when it dwonloads rpm's with aria2,the speed is 200 kB/s but when yum downloads deltarpm's with curl download manager, the speed is 8 kB/s
the speed is very low!!!!
what is the problem?

Re: yum downloads very slow!!!

Everything depends on the mirror each repo is using. Do a
Code:
yum clean all && yum update

Re: yum downloads very slow!!!

I also find yum in F17 generally very slow. Much slower than in F16. Seems to hang for several minutes updating. This is on a clean install of F17. Using a DSL connection that is fast otherwise.

I experienced the same issue yesterday using Software Installer (right-click on rpm file) to install the latest version of Opera (version 12.00) that I had already downloaded from Opera's ftp site. Very weird.
