Re: Fedora as 3rd OS

Centauri, your problem was caused by BSD not by Fedora. There's a difference in how BSD reads blocks vs. linux and unless you've installed it on the last partition of your drive, any distros that follow it will be messed up. I learned that from losing 6 distros back in 2006 when I put PCBSD on the first partition. Happened a second time with BSD in 2008.

Re: Fedora as 3rd OS

The only real difference between fedora and ubuntu or any unix/linux distro is the repos (yum, apt) and the version of software that they use. For example, Ubuntu right now uses kernal 3.2. Fedora uses kernal version 3.5.5. Fedora right now is where Ubuntu will be in a few years.

I beg to differ. Fedora and Ubuntu distros are derivative from different parent distro tree. Fedora from RedHat and Ubuntu from Debian. The difference is more than just the repos and its package update tool.
