From all the posts above, you must be aware by now that you must at least reach a console/terminal before you can do anything: gain access to the boot log for troubleshooting or disabling/masking the suspected service from running, etc.

Try to get the terminal by:
1. Ctrl+Alt+F2. It depends on where the boot process stucks, one may or may not be able to switch to virtual terminal.
2. Boot into single user mode. Press 'e' in grub2 and append '1' at the end of the kernel boot option.
3. Use the liveCD/DVD to boot into rescue mode.

Perhaps we should take a step back. Can you tell us what did you last install that cause this problem? ATI/NVIDIA drivers perhaps? Or have you tried to boot using previous known good kernel version? You can choose which kernel version to boot into from Grub2 menu.
As you said, lets take a step back:
After I have installed Nvidia drivers, I have restarted a few times.
If I remember correctly, I have installed an update of Nvidia( something about Kernel )
Also, the last software that I have installed was Virtualbox.

I will check again each of the posts, and will try everything...
If I will have to install a fresh Fedora, I have no problems
till now, this is the best distro i have seen...

Re: Fedora 17 stuck on logo

I to was having this problem after installing VirtualBox-guest from rpmfusion repos, so I ssh'd my way in, removed it, and replaced it with VirtualBox also from rpmfusion repos. Now every thing works fine. If you have the sshd deamon running you can do this to:
Code:
ssh user@ipaddress
yum remove VirtualBox-guest
yum install VirtualBox
then reboot!

VirtualBox-guest adds guest support to the installing system, so it should not be installed on a host system.

Re: Fedora 17 stuck on logo

I had the exact same issue using the proprietary Nvidia drivers. Up until the latest kernel update I was able to get it working by uninstalling and reinstalling the driver after installing the new kernel, but with the latest kernel I couldn't get the propriety drivers working at all and ended up just using the open-source noveau drivers.

Try this:

1. Go into the advanced boot options menu from the main Grub menu.
2. Boot into recovery mode, then at the console type "yum remove xorg-x11-drv-nvidia". It will uninstall the proprietary drivers and a few dependent packages.
3. Reboot, hopefully X will start using the open source drivers.
