How do I check an installation DVD against the iso file?

I've downloaded Fedora-17-x86_64-DVD.iso to my Fedora 14 system to install Fedora 17. I've burnt a DVD from the iso file.

How do I check the burnt DVD against the iso file to see that it was copied correctly. (I already checked that the iso file was downloaded correctly using the CHECKSUM.)

Usualy the write program has a routine (chdeckbox/button) to verify the files that has been written to disk.

Insert the disc and run "sha256sum /dev/cdrom". On my system the /dev/cdrom is a symbolic link to "/dev/sr0" and that is exactly the device being used by my F17 system when I insert a DVD disc.

Try

Code:
diff Fedora-17-x86_64-DVD.iso /dev/sr0

cmp -l Fedora-17-x86_64-DVD.iso /dev/sr0
Does anybody know if diff now supports files larger than 4 GiB?
