Re: Can't connect to mobile broadband connection with Huawei stick

hello baby!
i have had the same problem using wvdial but i didn't try the network manager...but it might be the same issue.
the problem turns out to be the libwvstreams in fedora 17, i uninstall this library and replace it with an earlier version.
and you can try to use wvdial.

Re: Can't connect to mobile broadband connection with Huawei stick

Ok, haven't tried wvdieal but find out another thing:

Just installed a fresh F17 64 Bit GNOME on an external hdd and the stick works.
I thought it depends on a broken package so I updated the system to find out what causes the problem. But the stick still works fine.

I don't understand the difference compared with my main system.

What can I try now? Maybe some config files? After I upgradet F16 -> F17 I replaced the config files with the *newrpm files. /etc/pam.d and so on...

Bye
