Kernel Linux 3.3.7-1.fc16.x86-64 update - no wireless

After updating to kernel 3.3.7 my wireless will not connect. After machine startup, wireless attemps twice to connect, but fails and remains disconnected.

Not a big deal, I just boot into Kernel Linux 3.3.6-3.fc16.x86-64, and wireless connects.

I am on a Toshiba Satellite C655. Anyone else having this issue with Kernel Linux 3.3.7?

Sorry about that. The wifi card is Realtek RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n.

Again, having no issues with Kernel Linux 3.3.6.

Updated network manager in F16. F16 is up to date.

Still no luck with Kernel Linux 3.3.7 and wireless. Everything works great with Kernel Linux 3.3.6.
I am reading through the forum and seeing a few others with this issue.

I am updating my system (F16) with yum update in Kernel Linux 3.3.6, would that cause a problem when booting into Kernel Linux 3.3.7?

Hopefully this will be resolved with the next Kernel update

Linux wireless modules are planned to be improved in many ways with kernel 3.4, which has been released a week ago. Fedora will probably get ver 3.4 as soon as 3.4.1 is out.

Loaded F17 (64-bit), which updated the network manager and kernel linux 3.4.0.

Smooth wireless surfing now

At the same time F16 was having network manager and kernel (3.3.7) trouble,
the ISP in our community took a dive. Internet service had been spotty for awhile, then completely disappeared - out of business disappeared.

So a weird combination of events, but now Fedora (17) is functioning smoothly and stable, as I have come to depend on... hopefully for a good while

I would like to mark this solved, but no solved button in Thread Tools menu?

Edit the first post of the thread and there change the tag next to the thread title. There you have the option SOLVED.

Sorry, must be missing it? When I select edit, it allows me access to the message body but not the title. Too, in edit mode, the thread tool still has no button for solved.

The option you are looking for should be in "thread tools" at the top of this page. I checked it in some threads I opened in the past: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=272870 or http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=279799 (Mark this thread solved).

If you don't have this option in the Thread Tools menu, I really have no idea why

Yeah, this is odd

I looked through some of my older threads and the option is not there either. Maybe there is a time line on when you can mark solved? I have marked threads solved in the past, maybe it is my browser (firefox 13)?

On the next thread I start, I will see if the button solved appears in the thread tool.
