Grub log location

When starting my computer, the Welcome to grub! shows and below it is an error. This screen flashes far to fast for me to be able to see what the error is. After showing that screen it goes to the operating selection screen and everything works fine from there. Where can I find the grub2 logs so that I can fix the problem, or is there a way for me to slow the welcome screen down so that I can see it?

Re: Grub log location

I have this issue on my pc but as it causes no apparent issue I haven't looked into it too much. However it is mentioned in this thread

http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=280238

No idea if the advice works but it is a known bug I think.

Re: Grub log location

Last i looked, grub only has read access to the root/boot filesytems, so it's can't produce a log in a file.It is unfortunate it doesn't insert a delay when it spews a message.

Re: Grub log location

Yep, it's like 'error: file /grub2/locale/en.mo.gz'
It's quite too fast to read.

* solution:
Code:
# cd /boot/grub2/locale
# ln -s en@quot.mo en.mo
