fedora 12 skype install error

an install of skype via gnome menu as well as via console ends with:

I guess the best method is grab rpm package from skype website and install it with rpm. Skype 2.1.0.47 works ok here.
And BTW is your OS 32 or 64 bit. That might be a bit more tricky as skype is still 32bit so you've got to do multilib install in case of 64 bit OS. In this somebody with experience on that matte should step up the plate. I'm stil on 32bits.

I use a 32bit installation.

The rpm package from Skype website works! But I think this is only kind of workaround and I should stay in line with the fedora standard upgrading methods....

there is a compiles version of 64bit. i use it and it works fine
