XFCE - XScreenSaver is REALLY ugly

Hi,

I've been 'blinging up' my system, and now I have it looking all nice and pretty (to my eye), except for XScreenSaver. I've read a couple of posts on how to theme it with the fonts and images that you want... but I was looking for something more flashy. (Kind of like Ubuntu 11.x/12.x lock screen)

Does anyone know where I can get such a screensaver manager/lockscreen thing?

If you use slock, it doesn't show any password box but you can't configure it (like locking automatically, or some time after blanking).

Well, it isn't really the password box that's the issue. If I could have a nicer looking password box + lock screen, that'd be perfect.

I didn't understand then what you find ugly about xscreensaver if it isn't the password box.

yeah the unlock dialog isn't the prettiest, but it seems it was a trade-off for security

i've always liked the old-school-ish-ness of xscreensaver, especially noseguy
