why ipv4options are not loaded in iptables version 1.4.9/1.4.14?

Hi,

I have to install iptables ipv4options in my system. I tried iptables version 1.4.14, but ipv4options are not loaded.

is there any saprate patch for ipv4options?

I observed in netfilter, ipv4options are avalible from iptables-v1.2.3 to iptables-v1.3.7.
why ipv4options are removed from iptables1.3.8 onwards?

is there any another way to handle ipv4options with iptables rules?

can any one help me for this?

Thanks for the time......
