Re: Fedora Utils for Getting things done
Hi,
I'm running Fedora 17 64-bit and have the latest FedoraUtils version from the repos (2.0.6).
After selecting one of the five options at the start of the program, and then pressing the Select Button, I get a Completed message and then the program exits with no further information.
I ran FedoraUtils from the terminal and no further information is given.
Thank you for all the work and effort put into maintaining and improving the program. Thumbs up from a standard User.

Thanks for reporting. Though I cannot understand why this happens, I will try to fix it ASAP. Thanks.

Re: Fedora Utils for Getting things done
As I find out it checked the distribution-Release and then stop to working. On the Main-Page I have read that the new Release come out if the final release of F17 done. So I think at this point doesn't working until the final is out.

so it starts but then closes saying it has completed your request when the expected behaviour is to open a new menu where you can choose various other options.
hope this helps.

Sorry for the inconvenience. But a fixed version has been made available for quite some time. the project page is offline, but you can still access the packages. Please download the latest package and install.

Works great on Fedora 17 64-bit.
Small request if possible. Would you be able to make an entry for wine 32-bit.
The reason is that the 64-bit version of wine is less reliable than the 32-bit. At lest for the programs I've tried.
Thank you again for the update and implicitly for the program that makes life easy.

Re: Fedora Utils for Getting things done
Is there any problem with parsidora repo?
cant add it
Code:
failure: repodata/repomd.xml from parsidora: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
You can try starting 'yumex -n' from a command line
and deselecting the repositories causing problems
and try again.

Seems there is no Parsidora 17 repo yet. A fix is to use the Parsidora 16 repo for now till the Parsidora 17 repo becomes available. An update is available to Fedora Utils.
Also I added Java back. thanks to Andrew from http://webupd8.org

Re: Fedora Utils for Getting things done
Hi,
Can you please describe how to undo what Fedora Utils have done.?
Or, can you please help with fixing issues that came up after I ran the default tweak options?
I run Fedora 17 and I have two external monitors connected via HDMI and DVI and the Ferdora Utils app screwed up my desktop setup and now I have problems getting the monitors to display the correct desktop, plus I can't create any icons og files, or move icons over to my main monitor which is the one connected via HDMI.
Thank you.

I'm very much sorry about your problem. But Fedora Utils shouldn't cause any problems like this. Can you say which options you selected? Or tell what you want to revert?

Re: Fedora Utils for Getting things done
Hi there,
I've found out what my problem was. I didn't know what was causing the problem and after trying to fix it for some time I decided to reinstall Fedora and just install one tweak at a time.
I then found out that the jupiter application was giving me problems since I'm running Fedora on an Acer Timeline X with an AMD Catalyst /Ati Catalyst video card. And those AMD video cards are just a pain in the spine when it comes to Linux.
When I saw what jupiter did I uninstalled it and everything went back to normal.
It's a shame, I had spent so much time configuring my system and had to go through it all over again.
But, well. Now it's ok. I have to wait for the AMD driver to be updated for Fedora 17. I had it installed in F16 and jupiter as well and all went well but AMD hasn't updated their driver for Fedora 17 yet.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Villi.
