Installing gnome power manager for Fedora 17 lxde

I installed gnome power manager through yum but I have no idea how to actually start it. Looking through the internet, I tried both gnome-power-preferences --sync and gnome-power-manager but neither command worked. Since a GUI program doesn't appear in the menus I can't use that either.

So how do I actually start gnome power manager so I can use it instead of the mostly non-existant lxde power management?

In gnome it is possible to launch power manager as

gnome-control-panel power

. Might work(?).

Well I don't seem to have gnome-control-panel in lxde. I'm not sure if I should install it eitiher as lxde has its own panel...
