System details.

just upgraded to FC15 and am using the Gnome-Classic desktop. Gnome 3 froze on me several times whereas the Classic works just fine.
Have some issues I can't resolve.
1) I have set the workspaces to be 2 using the preferences but when I log out and in its resets back to 1. Irrating but I'd like to fix that. Any ides?
2) I'd like to add icons to the desktop and the luancher bar, which you can do on the classic desktop. Right click or Alt + right click does not give a menu with add to launcher or add to desktop. Any ideas why?
gnome-panel is installed. Can't work out why this is happeing. i am using Gnome-Classic with Compiz but not enabled the funky features of Compiz.
Graphics card ina Nvida GeForce GS 7600. this all worked smoothly under FC14 ... sems I have gone a bit backwards
