Re: Script for KDE4.8 menus

I think one could use a single user account to customize the menu, then copy the files in ~/.config/menus across to each other account.

Alternatively, I think one place to start is to look at the .desktop files in /usr/share/applications -- I think these are what populate most of the system menu.

Good luck!

Once you have the one 'template' , copy the specifig files into /etc/skel.
Which as far as i guess represets the base of your home directory, to build the path structure.

Re: Script for KDE4.8 menus

Well whenever somebody develops an application, he adds it to to menu item.
There must be some way of doing it.
Where can I get it?

Re: Script for KDE4.8 menus

Packages for GUI programs usually include .desktop files that are installed in /usr/share/applications -- that seems to be how things are added to the menu.
