At times, I need to do lengthy calculations, where one invocation of a program may execute for several hours. Unfortunately, Fedora suspends operation before the calculations are done, presumably because of "inactivity". During this time, there may be no keyboard or mouse activity, but doesn't cpu activity count? Other than selecting the option to never suspend, is there anything I can do to get Fedora not to suspend when the cpu is active?
