Re: missing network connection

Being new to fedora, I'm not familiar with the downgrade process. Could you elaborate a bit for me for future knowledge? Many Thanks

That didn't work for me, since I had no network

This is really the best way (IMO) to solve the problem:

Too easy - Thanks for the info (o:

Mikka is correct though - One needs the network (that is broken) to be working first. I ended up having to resort to my office machine in order to find this forum and get this far.

Re: missing network connection

I have the same problem after preupgrade on Acer Aspire One. Will try either downgrade Network Manager or removing some connection files. For those that don't have network and wish to do work with yum, you can always plug in good old ethernet cable and (as root):
Code:
ifup eth0
and voila! Of course you can manually enable your wireless connection too, but it'll involve configuring wpa_supplicant and the likes, a bit too unwieldy for some.

An update is submitted but I don't know how long time it takes until it's available in everyones repositories.

Re: missing network connection

If you do not have network connection down load the earlier version from repositories given below using some other computer and in terminal

sudo rpm -U <packages> --oldpackages

Re: missing network connection

Sorry for bumping this after a year, but .. "Here we go again". Updated fedora today (not a distupgrade, just the usual yum update), and now I have the exact problem. I looked at the logs, and it seems that Networkmanager-gnome was updated. Anyone here with the same "The system network services are not compatible with this version" message?
