VLC 2.0.1 rpmfusion
Does anyone know why VLC 2.0.1 is not in rpmfusion yet? VLC 2.0.1 was released over 2 months ago.

My understanding is that certain things are not updated to major releases inside a fedora release

F15 & F16 will only get minor updates and bug fixes.

Is going from verion 1 to 2 not a big update?

Re: VLC 2.0.1 rpmfusion
I am not certain what rpmfusions policy on updates within a release cycle is, but Fedora's would be no major version changes except on a few critical packages, no soname changes except in critical situations, etc... Only minor updates or security fixes allowed.
My guess would be that vlc 2.0.1 would require some package to be updated in Fedora that would break Fedora's update policy.

For F16 64-bit only, Remi has vlc 2.0.1 rpm packages available here.
