Hello,
I would greatly appreciate some help with my wireless.
The problem is that its sensitivity is very low under fedora. The network here does not give a very strong signal, but I can connect using the same card under windows. Fedora does not even see the network I want to connect to. I know the card is working in fedora, too, I was using it to connect to a different network in another place. Is there any way to increase the sensitivity, to match at least what I am getting under windows? I tried to set the "sens" option in iwconfig, but it seems it is not supported.
I am using Network Manager to connect.
I have the following card (according to lspci):
Code:
03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Centrino Wireless-N 1000
Subsystem: Intel Corporation Centrino Wireless-N 1000 BGN
Physical Slot: 1
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 49
Memory at d7400000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=8K]

Capabilities: [e0] Express Endpoint, MSI 00
Capabilities: [100] Advanced Error Reporting
Capabilities: [140] Device Serial Number <masked>
Kernel driver in use: iwlwifi

And this is what iwconfig shows:
Code:
wlan0 IEEE 802.11bgn ESSID:off/any

Retry long limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
