Please share any cool Unico engine based themes that you found for GNOME 3, I would like to include some great looking themes for Fusion Linux.

Valent.
Most themes available on deviantart use Unico, you can check

Re: Fedora Utils for Getting things done

Hi, Arista doesn't start, look like it needs additional package called "python-gudev"

Check out full issue here:
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=266894

Also please consider once more to make Unico theme off by default, it is an option that most users don't need by default, only if they go and look for specific G3 themes...

Also currently Fedora Utils doesn't detect which options a already applied, can you please add feature so that Fedora Utils show which option have already been applied. Maybe also an "uninstall" option to remove some options?

Keep up the good work.

Cheers,
Valent.

Ok, I'll make Unico not selected by default.

It detected which options are already applied in an older version. But a lot has changed in the latest version. In the old version, all the functionality were coded into a single file. In the latest version, it uses a modular structure, and all the options you see are plugins. It makes it easy to add new functionality without editing anything. But it has its limitations. I don't think I can show which options are already applied in the latest version.

But then, before applying a change, Fedora Utils skips it if already applied. So it's not a problem.

Btw, I think you should take a look at the Wiki,

Re: Fedora Utils for Getting things done

Hmm, I'm getting nautilus crashes when Arista is installed, so it looks like there is another bug

My current fix is to remove Arista Nautilus plugins by deleting:
/usr/share/nautilus-python/extensions/arista-nautilus.py
/usr/share/nautilus-python/extensions/arista-nautilus.pyc

Maybe there is a better fix, if you find out please share how you fixed it.

Re: Fedora Utils for Getting things done

I installed fedorautils on an F16 box today in order to get the Weather extension.

It installed ok from what I could tell but I do see some issues.

When I go to Activities sometimes the screen does not display. It will either be blank or will have like big black blocks of where my windows are. No Windows|Applications tabs showing.

I fired up fedorautils and selected the Weather extension. It installed it. But it is nowhere to be found.
I tried to install it again and it says it is already installed. The checkbox is always clear.

I wanted to use Fedorautils Fusion-creator and Fusion-welcome scripts, so that Fedora-utils are mail tool for setting up new Fusion desktop machines but since there are no arguments that trigger actions directly from command line I can't use it. You had this feature in older versions of fedora-utils, please consider implementing it again.

Cheers,
Valent.

I'll do it then. But please list the functions you would like to see. I'll include them as a module. It's not possible to add arguments for all features for it would be hard to maintain.

Due to the new restrictions imposed by Java, the download of Java cannot be completed. So I have to remove the feature.

I've removed some features from Fedora Utils. Those who want to have those plugins can maintain their own version. You can grab those from the GIT history. They should be installed under "/usr/share/fedorautils/plugins/" to be available in the menu.

I plan to add the GPaste extension and Weather extension when Fedora 17 comes out. For now, the plugins are useless as they won't work with Gnome Shell 3.2.

Install JRE, JDK (Not possible to install due to changes made by Oracle), Android SDK (SInce it requires JDK) and Gnome Shell Extensions (Since they are pulled from GIT and most are for Gnome Shell 3.4 and not compatible with older version).

Re: Fedora Utils for Getting things done

Please add support for Fusion Linux. Fusion uses "Fusion release 16" and will use "Fusion release 17" for next release.

Thank you

Thanks. I've already added support locally, put yet to upload. I cannot push it to GIT now. But I am attaching the source here along with the .spec file so that you can build the RPM and test.
Attached Files
File Type: gz fedorautils-2.0.5.tar.gz (45.6 KB, 24 views)
File Type: spec fedorautils.spec (3.1 KB, 23 views)

I've uploaded the latest version to the repo. Please test if it works on Fusion or not.
